  • Trouble in town on 6/17/09
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/09
Well, he (Jesse Jackson) can`t keep his nose out of business so he`s gonna try to persuade Volkswagen to hire more blacks by visiting the black part of town. I don`t think the germans give a hoot abt minorities. Smart thinking in business because it`s all abt keeping their business profitable.

People get over it! Their is still a black problem, with the week of 6/8 -6/19/09 having reported 6 shootings!! What a city!!

  • Wouldn't recommend this hotel...
    By Lauran, 04/04/09
Although it is close to the mall and other resturants, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. When we checked in, they only had reservations for one room. I had the confirmation numbers for both rooms, but they said it hadn't gone thru. I even called the night before and they said they had the two rooms for me. Luckily, they had a room for ...

  • Unfriendliest people in the South
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/09
Chattanooga people, due to the influx of northerners, possibly, has for the last 8 years of my stay become the rudist & unfriendliest town.Try the Gunbarrel road area especially , whether it be shopping, dining or stopping off for fuel it`s mostly rude people. The downtown area people are only friendly in the businesses because it`s their ...

  • Seen better days.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/09
We stayed at this hotel on a recommendation from a person we met in Nashville when we were on a family trip. I can't believe that anyone would like this hotel! The location as well as every part on the hotel stinks! We had a room in building 3 which was not acceptable. They moved us to building 2 which was not much better. Holiday Inn ...

  • Awesome, warm people and walkable city
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
My husband and I went in early November 2005. The weather was great -low 70s. and the leaves were still changing color- which was great to see from the heights of Rock City and also the incline railway. We stayed at the Clarion which was great for the price and ability to walk to aquarium and restaurants. People in Chattanooga were so friendly-not ...

  • I want to move!
    By Abowers, 05/19/08
We went for a quick sightseeing weekend but got so much more. We had a limited budget but were suprised how much we did! We saw three of the major attractions and ate at three of the four restaurants we had chosen(in our bugdet range). We are wanting to go back again as soon as we can!

  • I MADE CHATTANOOGA MY HOME
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/07
We sold our Tampa,Fl home in 2005 and had enough equity to relocate anywhere in the US that we wished. Having visited Chattanooga several times as a teen and young adult, I recalled the natural beauty of the area. I looked at demographics such as crime, population, economy, home prices, entertainment, etc. After reviewing these statistics, we ...

  • my favorite place on earth
    By Neil, 01/19/07
I've been to Chattanooga twice on vacation for 7 days stay each time. Chattanooga is a 12 hour drive from Miami. I drove there and couldn't wait to eat pastries and drink coffee at the Bluff View Art District. Bluff View is definitely the most appealing IMO. Walk across the bridge across from the statue park and check out the historic ...

  • Chattanooga, We're coming home!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/07
Chattanooga is a small city with big city appeal. I lived in Chattanooga as a teenager and young adult 1984-1999. I loved it. You could go fishing, boating, camping, ride atvs, and then dress up and go into town to get your feel of the city. In 1999 I moved to nearby Walker County, GA. Very depressing and run down place. Then 2001 I made my move here ...
