First time visit to Deadwood was great! Was surprised by the amount of "gaming" (i.e. every restaurant and bar is a casino) but had lots of fun. Had hoped for more of the "old west", I guess, but overall we had fun. Hotels were very nice, and the food everywhere was very good - large portions and delicious! Shopped til we dropped, and had some fun playing the slots.

deadwood was fun for about a few hours. my kids couldn't wait to leave the next morning for colorado (we actually checked out of our hotel a day before were scheduled to leave) because there was not much to do. not a family vacation spot....................

fun Fun town great atmosphere and the drive to the town is wonderful the scenery is fantastic the town is worth going to the restrants are great and the food was very good A must drive!!

THE FOLKS IN DEADWOOD AND SURRONDING AREAS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. NOT BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO, BECAUSE THEY WANT TO.
VERY RELAXING AND EXCITING AT THE SAME TIME.

People are always very friendly and down to earth. Lots of gambling fun! Lots of family stuff too!
