Great beach town where you can fish the pier, surf the washout, or just enjoy the sand and sunshine. The Morris Island Lighthouse is a must see and a great place to watch the sunrise. Center Street has several cafe's which were average but all in all the street is perfect for people watching. Folly Beach, SC is a hidden gem : )

I wish we could live in Folly Beach - what a NICE NICE NICE place!! People were just so nice - resturants were great. Ocean is amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We went to folly beach and it was ok nothing like the gulf coast lots of old people and only 1 hotel which cost 165.00 a nite!!
The holiday inn is a joke.
Do your self a favor and go else where.!!!

Going to Chas. to hit the beach? Well get out of the habit of Isle of Palms and head towards Folly Beach. The crowds there are half of what they are at Palms.

I love Folly, it's the best place in South Carolina. I can boast because I've seen most of the beaches in SC and Folly has them all out-ranked! I've been to Folly Beach many times in the past 5 years since my mother moved to Charleston. It is never crowded, always easy to find a free place to park, the people are so friendly and the places to eat are excellent. All of the beach houses are so beautiful, I would love to live there someday!

Folly Beach was absolutely wonderful! The weather was okay (rained a little), but being so close to Charleston, there was never any wanting for something to do!

The beaches are beautiful & we walked into town to some of the nightlife (The Sand Dollar The Crab Shack was great!

This place is excellent. Everything is right there. No need to hope in your car to go to shopping or to enjoy a nice meal, just walk off the beach. There you will find restaurants to satisfy any type of hunger, along with the nicest and most charming people in the world; no wonder the tags say: Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places.It's never a dull moment in the carolinas.
