sunrises or sunsets you pick , beachfront sunrises are awesome and the sunsets on the sound are for lovers. Can't wait to get back . I've rented mansions on kiawah , stayed in Gulf resorts and fishing camps but you can't beat edisto . The rentals are fairly priced and theres alot to choose from.

  • Beautiful place, but....
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/08
I am currently visiting Edisto right now, i really like it. The pro's of coming here are well its beautiful, right next to Charleston, and alot of other nice things. But it's a pain in the neck to get to, and it can get extremely hot and very humid at times (not always). But i really enjoy it, its a georgous place and the people are so nice. And the beaches aren't crowded so its like having your own private beach sometimes!

  • Best kept secret on the planet ! !
    By CAROLYN, 06/20/08
I have been going to Edisto for about 25 years - my first visit being in the campground - now we rent a beachfront home where we can sit on the porch, watch the kids play in the ocean, see a sunrise, laugh at the dolphins as they play and count shrimp boats. The kids love the bike trails. We go every year and start planning for the next on the ...

  • Point of Pines and other Edisto treasures
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/06
I had heard about Edisto from a couple of friends so I decided to make the trip down there this Spring break. I had read many user reviews from Yahoo users and visited most of the places they recomended including Point of Pines plantation. I could not get in touch with the landowners but decided to view the property anyway after reading about it ...

  • Edisto Island
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/06
I was down at Edisto a couple of years ago and I stumbled upon a plantation named Point of Pines. When we drove up on the property my jaw simply dropped! The view was magnificent and breataking. Oaks lined the entrance to the property, it was a beatufiful buccolic type of feeling. We proceded down the place and its the most exquiste plantation I ...

  • Edisto-longing to be there now!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/06
Edisto Beach is wonderful. It is my favorite place in the whole wide world. We can't wait to get back there each year, and hate when we have to leave.

Edisto Beach is the meca of sea shelling. I have never seen so many sea shells in piles on any beach before. You can easily find beautiful shells just by looking down at your feet.

    The ...

  • Uncrowded and Peaceful
    By TravelPro, 09/05/05
If you want a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Edisto Island is the place to be. Located along the east coast between Charleston, SC and Hilton Head Island, it’s one of the last remaining coastal retreats that give you a sense of your own private beach. If you’re looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate the ...

  • This is my dream home
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/05
Edisto is an experience like no other, the marshes, creeks and beaches are beautiful and unspoiled. If you want to kick back, swing in a hammock, swim with the dolphins and just do a lot of relaxing this is the place to go. They also have a golf resort for those who enjoy the game. Sand dollars are everywhere and life is good. The sunset grill has ...
