We have visited Lancaster County 5 times prior and this was our first time with my son (age 5 then) he is a train fanatic so the couple days evolved around them. We took advantage of the Strasburg RR ride, The Choo Choo Barn, Purchased Some Lionel Train Sets too. My son can't wait to go back. I just love agriculture and horses so PA Dutch country is like a second home. I wish I could live there.

If railroad memorabilia is your thing, be sure to stop in Strasburg during your Amish country visit. Besides the Railroad Museum (dozens of old rail cars) you can visit the Toy Train Museum and the Choo Choo Barn (both are fun and and have an admission charge). Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The
setting was perfect for a good nights sleep,
or just sitting on one of the many chairs placed on the lawn. Meticulous grounds,very
accomodating staff. The breakfasts we had were of top quality. When in the area again
I will definately stay there.
