  • Classy little river town
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
I can't imagine anyone not finding a lot to enjoy in New Hope and environs. The entire central Bucks Country area is a magnet for history buffs, antiquers,
theatre-goers, art-lovers, and folks just looking for
fun in a safe environment. New Hope (and neighboring Lambertville, Peddler's Village, Washington Crossing, etc.) are accessible ...

  • Wonderful weekend getaway
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/07
Except for the coldest days, New Hope is a delightful town to wander around. The shops range from funky to very high-end, from souvenirs to European antiques.
There's also live theater, a 19th century train, and the shops of Peddler's Village nearby. The area has a nice assortment of restaurants, and the locals (if asked) will tell you ...

  • A refreshing alternative to the same old same old!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/06
New Hope is great for a day trip, since it is easily accessible from the Philly metro area, and there really aren't many places to stay overnight there.
What few options there are to stay overnight aren't cheap, but that's part of what makes New Hope nice -- there aren't many (any) hotels, big highways, strip malls etc.

    New ...

  • Take a walk in New Hope
    By ed, 08/30/06
New Hope is the most pleasant of places to walk with friends or one's family. One is free to spread a blanket & watch the world go by or enjoy a meal from one of the excellent eating establishments. New Hope is one of the last "Lay Back" river spots left to enjoy. The Harley Riders are a small distraction & offer quick smiles that only enhance a already pleasant experience.

See you in New Hope. Hugo

  • Stay Away From No Hope!!!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/06
This town USED to be a quiet and quaint little area. It has become a haven for the biker wannabe Harley Davidson riding lawyers. The roar of the bikes on any weekend is so loud as to make it impossible to enjoy the outside cafes.

Food prices are absolutely insane, unless you're comfortable with $8 kids meal chicken byproduct nuggets. ...

  • The nicest town in PA!
    By A Yahoo! User, 03/16/06
I grew up in Warminster, about 15 miles down route 202 to 263 to New Hope. I spent my High School days hanging out there and I miss it immensely. It's a quaint little town with a main drag that has little shops and botiques all along, with several outdoor bars that are hopping (and I mean HOPPING) on any given summer night. Running parallel ...

  • New Hope for Getaways
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/04
New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania is a 300 year old riverside village and artists colony, known for being a dicey and at times pricey, adult playground, antique centre, mecca for live theatre and music and more. Settled by the Quakers in the 1600s, New Hope's tolerance and acceptance of all peoples has attracted the quixotic, the ...
