Well lancaster is beautiful a definite must see. kids love to see the amish children and what they do during their day such as farming and helping their parents. the scenery is awesome. But our issue was the motel, the historic strausburg inn in strausburg..If you dont like bugs crawling on you when you are sleeping, avoid it. Its not a very ...

Would never stay at Red Roof Inn Lancaster
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
Never stay at Red Roof Inn - 2307 Lincoln Highway, Lancaster PA!
The front desk manager/co-owner was unprofessional, loud and unpleasant… very disorganized. The front desk manager/co-owner treated me like the stuff on the bottom of her shoes! The furniture is very old and dirty… was afraid to seat in the chairs. The beds were very ...

lancaster was great, the food excellent. our stay at super8 was not. dirty sheets dirty wash clothes left in shower, room was'nt vaccumed. allergies kicked in and i got sick from the room. i cant wait to come back to lancaster but would never stay at super 8 again if the room was free.
My husband and I visited Lancaster area for our anniversary recently, and it was wonderful. I grew up on a farm but to see them work like they do you have to appreciate "farming & country" life.
We stayed at the Country Living Inn, what a beautiful and freindly place to stay at a decent price and it was located close too ...
I went to Lancaster with friends from church & I LOVED IT. For the 1st time in my life I saw what the Amish people looked like. lol, funny but awesome. I was surprised to see the things they do. But there is also a lot to offer when you want to come back to the 21st century too. While ...
I like taking a drive to Lancaster Pa, it's nearly 2 hours away by car, nice ride, easily accessible...very family friendly place to stay...I stayed at the Best western Eden Resort, great location, nice swimming pool, room with fireplace highly recommended...everything is nearby, downtown lancaster, similar to the nicer areas of downtown ...

What a great place!

Beautiful scenery, lovely people. Great for families or a weekend getaway for couples. The food is awesome! The Amish are an interesting people to learn about. Felt like stepping back 25 years in time.
Though you will notice that Lancaster City is not what it once used to be, it still has plenty to offer if you are in the area, and is amidst a revival of its cultural offering.
Being of course in the heart of Amish country, the brand new quilt museum and the oldest farmers market in the United States are must sees. You should definitely also ...
