My family has visited Erie, Pa about five out of the last eight summers. We have always enjoyed the beaches and Presque Isle. They seem much more "natural" than the vacation spot beaches like Myrtle and Wildwood. We have stayed at the Econolodge by Splash Lagoon and The Inn at Presque Isle. Both are nice. The Inn is older and could use ...

"It's ok to love Erie!"-awesome quote from billboard
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
I have lived in Erie most of my life. I think, as with most people, when you are young, you can't wait to leave and you don't realize what you are missing out on till you come back to visit. This is a wonderful place to raise a family. It is a pretty safe place to live. It has the most beautiful sunsets and Erie takes very good care of ...
I have been going to Erie to visit family ever since I was young, as my father is from there. I always enjoyed going there in the summer because it is not as hot as Florida (where we live!). The beaches are nice for up north, but nothing compared to FL or CA. Erie is a nice, safe town with lots to do. I feel that it is very family-oriented and full ...
Erie is very pretty only because of the lake. Go beyond the lake its any other medium size city. Overall its enjoyable, but not for someone who doesent like the beach.
I love visiting Lake Erie during the winter months. It's nice in the summer too, but in the winter it's a nice spot to walk on the beach if it's not too cold. It's especially nice just before sunset and is very picturesque as the sun is setting.

Not a bad place for some
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/06
I live in Erie, and I'm personally not a huge fan of the city. I think it's not too bad, but it could use some definite improvement. It seems like Erie is on the road to good things though. In the summer, it's a really beautiful place. Presque Isle is gorgeous and worth a visit. But, unless you're a big winter person, I wouldn't ...
Lucchetti's makes the best pizza in Erie. Really, the best anywhere. A very thin crust, just the right amount of tangy sauce and those perfect little pepperonis. The original storefront on W. 26th is far superior to other locations, and worth the extra drive.
i have lived here for five plus years and the quality of the housing is very low, i have lived in other cities and i am amazed there is little or none available AFFORDABLE housing in erie, you either are in a hotel or living where you would rather not, decent housing in city limits has become a joke, if the new mayor can be bothered to bring a ...
If you want down home hospitality with loads to do, Erie is it. There's an 11 mile beach, local restaurants, nightlife, arts, history and more.

If I didn't live here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Lake Erie's Pennisula is an amazing place. Not only are the beaches beautiful and fun, the sunsets are the most beautiful I've ever seen. The weather is not to hot and not to cold when the sun shines or doesn't. The beaches aren't crowded, the trails are open to everyone, and the water is wonderful! Not to mention located at the ...
