I return to Clearfield every year, full of memories of when my family, the Mossops, Irwins, and Biddles had magnificent old homes there, and had many of the local businesses in town. My great grandfather, Richard Mossop and his son built many of the town's buildings. I want to tell you that Clearfield became a 'dump' sad to say -- and ...

Horrible. Horrible.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/05
Stayed there just one night. The room itself was okay. Days Inn decided to book us 5x on a sat, when we weren't even in the state. So we called them so they could explain and they couldn't even find us in their system. No apologies. Just rude. I would not go there or to any other days inn again.

It is a ...

Not so bad...

Visit this quiet all-American town every Friday night during racing season. I disagree with the other "rater". It's not a dump. It maybe considered a dump by a "city slicker". It's not a particular town for tourism. I like it because it's a scenic drive from eastern PA out to Central PA. If you are looking to relax and just putz around, this is a quaint town to do just that.
