One thing the travel guides never till you about is Spencer' Butte. A Butte is basically a mountian wit a small flat top. This is where ALL the locals go to take a hike. I was born in and raised near Eegene most my life so when we lived there it was a weekly adventure for us. It never gets old. It is just beautiful. I believe you take Donald ...
I've lived here for at least 7 years, and I must say that only portions of my time have been enjoyable. Eugene is a great place to go to school, and a fine place to retire; other than that, it is, as one user put it, "a hotbed of inactivity." There are some fun bars (Luckeys, Horsehead, Jameson's), restaurants (Ambrosia), and ...
This place is a great place to live. I moved here to go to the U of O and fell in love with it. I call Eugene home now. I love its laid back, liberal culture. I've been here almost 5 years now and I don't plan on moving anytime in the near future.
i am here now. i am loving it very much. within the first week i have been to the ocean 3 times and also to a concert and a rave. what more can one ask for in a city. the views of the mountains in three different directions is amazing.
i am finally here and i am loving it. having the time of my life. in the first week i have already got a nice house, a good job and have been to two concerts and a rave. loving it.
This college town with it beautiful surrondings has a little something for everyone. The area has much to offer the nature buffs and the city dweller. Beautiful landscapes that can take you away from the hustle of the work week. The city has all you need in the form of hot spots as well from the arts to the drinking spots. And all of this is set up ...
I can't believe the review which stated how much there is to do in Eugene. I have lived here for 20 years (only because I am close with my immediate family) and can honestly say that that is 100% wrong. If you are looking for a boring hippie town, come to Eugene. If you are looking for a place that goes to bed at 8pm on the weekends, come ...
I lived in Eugene for a while and grew to immensely love that city! I loved that there was so much to do, especially since I get bored easily. There are festivals, fairs, concerts, comedy shows, and a lot more! Also, there is a sense of things that I can draw and learn from Eugene. Activism and whatnot. Also, it's great for water sports, winter ...
i loved this town, but i am a liberal hippie so this felt like home to me and i am moving there in the fall. several of my friends have moved there and love it. i also must say that it is kind of overcast most of the time so this maybe is not a place for sun lovers. very green and lush forrests, cool views of the mountains and a very artsy ...
