This is a decaying time-warp, both materially and intellectually poverty-stricken. It is important to know that racism here is not limited to the southern poverty crowd but extends to the remnants of the middle class. There have been very intelligent, kind and coincidentally non-white people who have been "frozen-out" of town. In better times the town was known for producing TOILETS.
