Do not expect to enfoy a fun family vacation in this city, it's frightning for even an adult man at night here. If you do go and find your self out and about at night, avoid downtown and mainly 5th street.

Slightly tarnished 'Gem'
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/07
Pros
- Fantastic museums - Great performing arts venues - Many interesting historical sites - Predominantly friendly people - Above average restaurant and nightlife choices - Outer suburbs are clean, safe and friendly. Offer wide range of shopping, eating and sleeping accommodations
This is a great place for a family trip... You have the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum(great history of aviation-cool up to date planes and gadgets used by the air force today), You have the Museum Of Natural History....Not far down the road you have Caroline Park (about Orville and Wilbur Wright), There is a lot of history and many things to do and keep busy...Plus you have some downtown attraction...
This hotel was good in all aspects. A nice place to enjoy. Good service was given by the hotel staff, would like to visit this place again along with my family and friends.

Best night of sleep you'll ever get
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/06
I'm telling you, you will NEVER get a better night's sleep than a night in Dayton. With absolutely nothing to do and no nightlife whatsoever, you are sure to get at least 9-10 hours sleep. Insomniacs: COME TO DAYTON. If all fails, go to Columbus: just as boring.
yes i wanna go to ohio i have cousins up in ohio and i have never been there b4 i would like to go see them so this is my review guys have a great night!
I was born in dayton and lived there until I was 14. Moved back when I was 25 (or so). Dayton is a pretty nice city, but has issues that are common to most post-industrial area - abandoned factories, struggling urban areas, and segregated neighborhoods. However, Dayton has been working hard for the last decade to remove/renovate empty factories ...
While this is no beach town, and certainly not a top national destination, there are a few "don't miss" attractions if you find yourself in Dayton for few days. 1. Webster St. and National City Markets - these are lovely little indoor markets next door to each other. A great place to find something special: flowers, food, ...

Dayton get's a bad rap.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/05
Dayton's a pretty cool town, a lot of aviation history and things like that. Yes, the downtown is a little run-down but a lot of cities are like that. Ever been to downtown Detroit? Or Center City Philadelphia 10 years ago? Dayton seems to be turning things around. However,I would recommend staying in Columbus and just driving the 45 minutes or ...
There are two things to do in this town. Dayton Flyers basketball and Dayton Dragons baseball. There is quite a dropoff after that. So, if you are not a basketball or baseball fan, I would avoid this city at all costs.
