Chillicothe is a quaint, historical little town. The downtown shopping is great, with all these little shops within walking distance. I love Chillicothe, Ohio
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/05
I really like the layout of the town. My husbands family lives there and we go to visit them every Thanksgiving. Everyone seems very nice and layed back. It seems like a quiet peacful place and very family oriented. We live in Hunstville, AL. Huntsville is a very corporate city and high pace. I always look forward to our trip to chillicothe because I don't feel like I'm in the rat race.

I don't think I disliked anyone ,though a lot of people in the town talk like hicks, so it's kind of hard to understand them.

A great history lesson!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/05
We happened upon Mound City while driving through Chillicothe, Ohio. A Hopewell Indian mound complex that is amazing! The visitor center is staffed by very knowledgable and helpful people. There is a fifteen minute video that is very helpful in understanding the site and there is a museum that is very user-friendly and informative. Really worth the trip! And a value at $5.00 per family or if you're a National Park member, free.
