I should say this is a horriable place to visit so I could keep the secret of Ocean Isle Beach to myself. If you can entertain yourself then this is a great place to visit. It's very relaxing, golf is great and the fishing is good too.

i have been going to the island since about 1988 almoast every year. I am 36 years old now with a family of my own and i love the quiet neighborhoods and the sparcely populated beaches. The 45 minute drive to broadway at the beach and myrtle is a minor inconvinience for quality of the vacation time on the island

My stay at Ocean Isle was good but it could get a little repetitive. The first time it was wonderful. Everything was fun. But the second time, we did all the same things because the closest thing to the isle was an hour away. If you want just beaches, this is the place to go. Not crowded but very comfortable place to be.
