Our Emerald Isle vacation was one of the best vacations we have ever been on. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded. Cape Lookout National Seashore is the most beautiful place we went while there. It is a must for anyone visiting the island. We rent a house there and will most likely be going back every year from now on. I would recommend this island to anyone!!

The beaches are clean and beautiful, there are laid back people are from everywhere. I encourage everyone to go to the beach with only a towel and sunscreen and stay all day!!! Great shopping, yummy seafood, good times! It's impossible not to come back every year!

Emerald Isle is a wonderful family beach! They have just added a lot of biking trails on the island, so you can rent bikes and ride. Great family vacation spot!!!! Nice, quiet beach but plenty to keep everyone busy. The guys go fishing or golfing. The older kids go shopping or to Golfin' Dolphin (or another place for rides down at Atlantic Beach - just a short drive). The NC Aquarium (recently expanded) is just down the road. Can't wait to take Ben this year - it's been closed the last two year for the renovation.

Our family has rented a cottage (a different one each year for variety) for a week each August for years. We love the quiet atmosphere, clean and uncrowded beaches, friendly people, and chance to do some fun fishing. It's a delightful place to relax if you like beaches without the honky-tonk of more "touristy" places.
