There is something for everyone. My family is very diverse.
I am the computer geek. There is a beautiful theater and many places with Wireless Internet all over. My mom is old and cranky. The casino was the place for her. lol And my son is a sports nut. So he loved the camping hiking. And they have a huge baseball field. They even have places for him to skate board.

Buy a shirt and leave. The flags got old. I was treated nice at the one place I shopped. Be careful of what you buy. Some of the things you think are made on the reservation are made in another country and the tags on the items say so. I guess everyone is hip to this shipping jobs overseas thing.

Cherokee is overall unwelcoming and unfriendly to African Americans. Most stores in the downtown area display HUGE confederate flags accompanied with offensive confederate bumper stickers. My party did not purchase any souvenirs from those stores. The best place is the casino...I would not recommend supporting any of the downtown stores.

There is so much to see and do here it seems a weekend wouldn't be enough , Womderful friendly people , and lots of Adventure for everyone.

Except for the Hampton Inn stay, we had a ball. We stayed too short of a time to do everything. If you have children or even if you don't, go on the Polar Express train.It will start your holiday season off right.
My worst experience was staying at the Hampton Inn. Don't waste your money.
Can't wait until we can go back to Cherokee.

I love Cherokee, it's really pretty & scenic, and historic too, and the shopping and photo opportunities are great, but why, oh why does everything have to close up SO early at night? It seems the streets roll up by 7 or 8 at night.

Since I was real little I have gone to Cherokee, NC and I have to say that it is my all time favorite place to be. I haven't been since I was 17 (I'm 23 now) and I long to go back so much. I'm determined to save money and plan to go next summer. I love it so much that I would LOVE to call it home.

As a child my father and mother carried me to Cherokee, N.C. for the only vacation we ever had. I fell in love with the Smoky Mountains, Cherokee Indians and the area. Now I carry my own family to Cherokee and have for nearly 20 years.
Each year now that my boys are grown they say "Where you going on vacation this year mom?" ...

Loved it! Very courteous all around staff. Terrific food; well within our budget. We're from Vegas and the slots are not what we're used to; totally different but that's immaterial. I highly recommend Cherokee. Keep up the good work.
