If you have to fly into Syracuse be in good health because if you are elderly or need help you will not find it but that was how Washington and Detroits air ports were also. As far as Syracuse it was nice the people were very friendly and plenty of shops. I stayed with my son at Fort Drum which was very nice. Watertown reminds me of a small town in ...
What can you say about the prospects for a city when you can ride around the perimeter highway (I-480) at 5pm on a Friday, and see almost no cars? The best days for the 'Cuse ended in the Warren Harding administration.
With the exception of 2 weeks in the end of August when the State Fair comes to town, which is as good a time as any ...

Good food, good friends, cool architecture. Not what you'd expect from a city this size. Maybe I was spoiled, but I liked the inner city (Armory Square). Great music scene.

We moved to Syracuse from the East Coast and what a refreshing change. The people are friendly, the cost of living is reasonable, and it felt like home right away.
Yes, there is winter and snow, but some of us like that. 2 inches of snow DOES NOT make winter, but that is not a problem here. If you like winter and city that feels like a small ...

Central New York. You've come to Syracuse for business for a few days and have no idea what to do. It seems this place is a shopping mecca (it is), and beyond the behemoth malls, there's not much here, right?
Wrong!
Winter is the primary season in Upstate New York, and in CNY it's no different. (We have a joke here: ...
