Terrific massage at Balanced Bodywork!Lake placid is great; reasonable, conveniently close to the city and lots for the kids to do. I would've never guessedI took a chance on Lake Placid because I didn't have any money to go to Miami Beach, Virginia Beach, London or the Carribean. It was a five hour peaceful drive up the I87 with my fiance, a well needed time to conversate and reflect on us. We stayed at an affordable Inn, called The Pines of Lake Placid. The Pines of Lake Placid is great!I am currently working with the owner, Jill, to plan a wedding there, she's great. The food is wonderful and she's very helpful with the planning. Its a great hotel for couples when you want to get away from it all. Being the oldest hotel in Lake Placid it has a special style to it. This is not a Hilton so you shouldn't expect the same things.
