Lake George is beautiful but we stayed at the estate known as the "Mansion". It was not at all what we expected for our money. It was dirty and in need of much repair!
We are now fighting to get back our security deposit of $3000.00 It seems the landlord is not a very reliable or professional guy. We have been given excuses but no check! ...

Lake George is great for couples or families. With great shopping outlets, reataurants & an amusement park, there is something for everyone. You can travel back in time by having lunch at an A & W drive - in restaurant. There are boat trips on the Lake which allow some great picture taking. There is a terrific beach for swimming & sun bathing & mountains for hiking.

All in all Lake George, New York, is the perfect vacaton spot.

I love the Lake George Campsite and RV Center! The owners are so nice and supply so many things for their guests. Very clean and very affordable. We try to go there at least once a year to camp and visit the beautiful downtown Lake George. Shopping is a wonderful experience in this area.

This is really a great place to be all year round. The lake is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is so relaxing that you cancel out everything in your mind. This is one of the greatest places I have ever been to. In the Winter, there is great skiing up there at GORE mountain.

Unfortunately unlike some of the other reviews for Lake George, I can't say I really liked it. I found the lake and surroudning town so crowded and commercial. It was difficult to avoid tourist traps and noisy boats. I much preferred the Finger Lakes region.

we made a reservation, had a confirmation number, and were told no rooms were available when we arrived.
