We found a book called Home Plate the Traveler's Food Guide to Cooperstown that was really helpful. It has lots of information about the area and tells about places I don't think ...

Cooperstown is definetly the best place to go for any baseball lover. Seriously there isn't any store in that town that doesn't have something to do with Baseball. Also real close, which I highly recommend is Howe Caverns which is fun on a bun.
I stayed at the Tuffincliff Hotel which is an old, creaky, historic hotel with the best possible downtown location. Of season price was 50 bucks a night. It was clean and walking distance to everything so I spent very little time out in the cold (december)
Restaurants: Hoffman Bistro and Niccolettas were both very good for dinner and less ...

Cooperstown in the Winter!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/05
We went in February 2005 and had such a fantastic time. While it was freezing cold, most of the shops were still open and the hall of fame (the main reason we visited) was still open till 5 pm. We stayed at a beautiful room at the Holiday Inn Express,we arent bed and breakfast people, although it seems they had tons of nice ones around. The ...

Heaven in the Middle of Nowhere

For baseball fans, nothings beats a pilgrimage to Cooperstown. The HOF museum is everything a baseball fan could imagine. Since every caseful of baseballs, bats and uniforms looks alike, you have to bring your own memories and imagination for a truly heavenly experience.
If you're looking to travel off-season, as my wife and I did, be ...
