Red River is my favorite place on earth. I have been going there in the summer time for more than 30 years. When I was a kid we would drive there from the COAST of Texas. Very long drive but well worth the trip. The nights were cool, & the days being in the 70's with nearly no humidity made the trip paradise. Anyone who has ever been on ...

Red River is a Hidden Treasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/07
This place was UNBELIEVABLE - we just got back from the best ski vacation ever and still can't get over how much fun we had. The fresh powder was unreal and the folks at the Red River ski area were just as nice as they could be - everyone we ran across during our stay really made us feel at home. We will be back soon!!!

The Lodge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/06
The streets roll up at night, so make sure you don't arrive in town late. We had breakfast at The Lodge. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. I have traveled the world over and have never met such disgruntled managers, waitress, and staff. They were the worst I have ever seen. Very Rude! You would think in a town this size ...

Red River is a great place to visit to get away from the pressures of the 'regular' world - it is charming and quaint and a lot like the fictional town of Mayberry. We just got back from a ski trip there and had just a wonderful time! It is just so laid back and the town people are very down-to-earth - we had coffee each morning at Mountain ...
we love red river/ especially bobby and jolene bullington they are so helpful that your stay is a delightful treat. The sundance is a good choice for southwest food. all in all you can't beat the ambiance, the scenery, the scented air, and local colorful characters.
We just got back from Red River during our Christmas 2005 / New Years 2006 vacation. The Red River ski area has some extremely helpful and nice people. The ski instructors take a lot of time and personal pride with their lessons. I highly recommend a private lesson, at $55 per hour it's only $15 more than a group lesson and you'll find ...
We went to Red River for our honeymoon in 1998.It was wonderful, so wonderful that we went back for a family vacation in 2001. The people are so friendly and I loved the quaint little gift shops. There are really good restaurants too! I will always have wonderful memories from Red River. We will be going back for another vacation someday.
...with a fishing problem. Some good shops that start to look a like after a while. In the summer the main activity is stream fishing for trout or 'ATVing' or hiking in the mountains. In the winter, it's sking. Some good restaurants. If you are in the area, visit nearby Taos and the Rio Grande River Gorge and Santa Fe is not too far

What a great place. The biggest rooms for the best prices. Really clean. The most comfortable beds and pillows. The management is soooo friendly and they make you feel like you have come home. The view is beautiful. Would highly recommend it to those who like the home type atmosphere and they even have a continental breakfast.
