Shop at the Flea markets on the weekend. Drove though Apache White Mountains. Long way up it was amazing so far up then the river was a special view. The drive down was real long. It was fun while it lasted
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/06
I grew up in Arizona and New Mexico is my second home. After graduating from school and traveling to different states I found comfort here in Gallup. I've been working at RMCH for about 4 years and enjoyed being in a neutral area. I have decided to return to Phoenix for a career move, but will return every so often to visit friends. The Dine People and Community have been great.

I live here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/05
I live in this small town of Gallup, NM. I have lived here all of my life and have not yet seen all there is to offer. The Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial is here every year, along with dances, food, and jewelry. Gallup is a great town. We have great sports, dancing, and other programs here. I was dissapointed when Yahoo's reviiew stated that there was only one interesting thing here. It is really a great town, to see, and to live in!

I've stayed in some of the places that are affordable to me in Gallup at the same price as 6 and have sat either in shock or in hysterical laughter at what I saw before me. Holes punched in the walls, curtains hanging sideways, bath tubs that filled up as I took a shower and oh the smells! Motel 6 is a predictably clean, well maintained haven ...

Authentic Native American Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/05
I've been stopping in Gallup for many years. It is surrounded by spectacular high desert scenery, Native American reservations, and beautiful skies. It has a great section of Route 66, lined with interesting architecture from the mid-20th century (although some would consider sections downright ugly). Our favorite spot to eat is Earl's ...
