Backwater? No. Sticks? CertainlyWhile I would not hazard to go as far as the earlier tonie review for Carlsbad I would certainly sum up the town with the word, bereft. The town certainly does have a strong sense of sullness about it and apart from the Caverns nearby I could not think of any good reason to ever travel or, God forbid, stay here. Shall never returnWe thought this would be a nice four day get away; wrong. We are leaving two days early. The population in general seems unfriendly. We began to feel unsafe within the first six hours. When lost, in a construction area, we received a middle finger for no real reason.
