$48 ticket for 10 mins over!!!!!I was 10 min. late to my car & had a $48 ticket! This is after I put about $6 in quarters in the machine. I will never go to Point boardwalk again, mind you I grew up in Point & most of my family is still there (I moved to Howell). The boardwalk isn't that great that I am willing to get screwed by the desperate township. Are they that ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

Traveler beware -read the "fines" printPPB are thieves -and their machines don't work
The wife and I had an Ok evening on the board walk spending money. we returned to our car 10 minutes after the meter expired and saw a parking ticket for $48.00 !!! The officer must have been waiting to ticket the cars as the meter expired (like stated in a previous post.)

Point Pleasant is a ripoff!Overpriced stands and eateries and the way the wait around to hand out their $48.00 parking tickets!

Worst experience ever!It started with horrible parking! The beach tags are extremely expensive. There is no place to eat other than dirty boardwalk pizza/burger joints. Everything is way overpriced. Traffic was such a pain getting in/out of town. We are sticking to Ocean City or Margate! 1st time visit and never going back.OVERALLAtmosphereConvenienceSafetyValue

Watch the parking!!!I pulled up this site to see if anyone else has had a bad parking experience in Point Pleasant. One reviewer related geting a $48 parking ticket after returning 15 minutes late to a public parking lot.

Dont Go There-Atlantic MotelDont book this place online. See it and look into the shower stall. And look in the refrigerator seal. Look on the ceiling, There is Mold. I had to leave the room-the mold was overpowering. I reported it to the clerk who states there was never a complaint on his "impeccable rooms". Hard to believe, right? Surfside Motel poor business peopleWe arrived at Surfside on 07/12/2007..We had made reservations in March more then 3 months in advance..Paid in full for 3 rooms.. They told us they over booked and gave our rooms to someone else..of course they said they made a mistake..buy why didn't you call us..great family reunion..all you had to do was call so we didn't have to drive ...9 of 9 Yahoo! Avoid a headache- parkingI need warn you about the town metered parking lots.
After enjoying an evening on the boardwalk, we returned to our car 14 minutes after the meter expired and saw a parking ticket for $48.00 !!! The officer must have been waiting to ticket the cars right as the meter expired.
It ruined a pretty good night. We will not be visiting Point Pleasant again anytime soon.
