Avalon ,NJis a great place for families. The beach is well kept and the dunes are beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants to chose from and everythingis close by like cape may, stone harbor ,wildwood, and ocean city. The people here are family friendly. The only negative is I wish there were more hotels on the beach to choose from. Overall this is a great place to visit. The town is well kept and very clean.

Avalon is close to the northeast cities, and an very pretty little town. However, if you like to have fun while on the beach I do not recommend it. Swimming is restricted to directly in front of each life guard stand (about three hundred yards between each stand)with little allowance out until afternoon tide and only when a lifeguard is out in ...

Avalon is a nice town, but most of the people there are overly materialistic -it's all about who drives the best car or lives in the biggest house - they need to come down to earth!

i loved the quaintness. the small town is a dream. the beaches are clean and usually not too crowded. it is far better than florida.

Avalon is great. Their beaches are lovely. It's not too crowded. My family loves it.

And there's no place I'd rather be. It's great in the off-season, right after Labor Day. Weather is still great, everything is still open but no crowds.
