Your review and pictures relate to Virginia City, Nevada - not Virginia City, Montana. This creates quite a bit of confusion for those of us who have visited.

I have been to Virginia City NV. The pictures shown are from Virginia City NV. I have never been to Virginia City Mt. Where are the photo's of Montana. If people go to Montana expecting to see Virginia City what will they see?

Virginia City, Montana gives tourists a view to the old west and it still maintains that small town hospitality. In Virginia City and (Nevada City, Montana, which is about 5 miles down the road), you can see old, historic buildings, that were used when gold mining was at its height. While you can't spend more than a few days exploring the area, it's definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.

My mother lives in Carson City so we make a few trips from Houston to the Reno area each year.
I notice that the sky always seems to be the bluest of blues! And the mountains... oh how I miss mountains! Virginia City is just a quaint little town that you must see at least once. Last year we bought property further on up the highway in Virginia ...

I visited Virginia City over summer, and I loved it. There much history there. I really liked how they have kepped it intact. I also really liked teh wooden sidewalks. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

Kids and adults in our family liked the lil' bit of the past as we traveled from Carson City to Tahoe. It's like stepping back into time a 150 years or so.

If your in the Reno area this should be a must on your list of things to see.The ride to V-C is worth a roll of film itself.You'll see old settlements along the way up with incredible views down below and anything from wild horses to bald eagles above.Once you get to V-C it's a step back to the old west,cowboys walking down the wooden ...
