  • DON'T TELL ANYBODY
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/07
Let me tell you something that happened in downtown Missoula: we parked, put money in the parkmeter, went to see the carrousel, and forgot about the parkmeter. So we come back thinking we're definitely gonna have a ticket (cause we're used to that in los angeles) We get to the car and guess what we found on our windshield? a postcard ...

  • Missoula - becoming like too many other places
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/06
Used to love Missoula 10 years ago but alas it has become like to many places. Traffic, big box strip malls, people rushing around on cell phones, urban sprawl in every direction, golf courses and gated communities, etc, etc, etc.

While places in Montana still hold alot of space and freedom from the above, Missoula is now definitely not one of those places anymore

Best thing about Missoula. It is only 30 minutes from Montana

  • Missoula is a great town!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/06
The downtown area, the Clark Fork River, the path along the river, the fantastic public art, the history of the area, the trail system, the parks, live music, restaurants, bars, and great shops. I love visiting this town.
If you are a kayaker check out Brennan's Wave at Cara Park. FUN!!!!
I spend hours just walking around appreciating what a great place this is.

  • Hellgate Valley
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/06
Missoula is nested in the Hellgate Valley surrounded by Mountains.
It has mild winters and hot summers. There is great places to hike, fish and the recreational outlets are outstanding. Anyone wanting to visit Missoula should do so. It is an experience they will forever hold dear.

  • Best place to pay scenery tax
    By Lori, 09/26/05
Have you ever heard of scenery tax? Well it's how much more you may pay for something because of where you are. Missoula is one of those places. But, it is worth it. You can find everything you need in Missoula as far as conveniences go but you also find excellent hiking, biking and skiing literally minutes away. Although some parts of the ...

  • The Last Best Place
    By Dee, 09/12/05
Missoula is a beautiful city in west-central Montana. It is a fairly liberal town with a university atmosphere. There are several outdoor activities to participate in such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, camping...you name it.

Then, when you are finished breathing fresh air, you can kick back and relax with a locally made brew ...

  • Really impressed!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/05
Missoula is wide-open amid some of the lovliest forests and mountains I have ever seen. There are lots of things to do. There are drive-up espresso bars....great!
Because of the university it is possible to attend cultural as well as sporting events. People are friendly and helpful. Try the bus service. It takes you all over.
