Springfield is okay, but coming from a small town its a little harder to manuver. Springfield is a wonderful enviroment to be around though. I plan on attending one of the Colleges there and hope to plant my life there as well.

I absolutely loved the walking and hiking trails at the Springfield Missouri Nature Center. It was truly a nature walk where we saw deer, turkeys, geese, squirrels, chipmunks, rabits, birds and fish in a single outing.

The Clubs downtown have grown, Blues and Jazz Festivals, parks, parades, the community its self. People and family oriented. Bass Pro is one of the main places to visit if you are out of town. The restraunts, ...

There is some great lakes in the area to go boating, waterskiing and sailing. Their are some nice bed and breakfast inn downtown area, the nightlight is okay ...
Granted this is no Chicago or huge city of that sort but it holds more than would meet the eye to any traveler. You are close to everywhere in this city. The people are friendly to visitors and not to mention everythings cheaper because of the lows sales tax. The MO govenor knows what he is doing. One of the fun things to do in this area is close ...

Went to Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife. It was a nice adventure. We took one day and went to the park and the Missouri Conservation Center. Ice Skating was a lot of fun also.
Springfield is a beautiful city, lots of shopping, cultural events, parks, bike/jogging paths, lakes nearby, a lovely zoo, bass pro shop, nearby caves for exploring and convenient to Branson and Silver Dollar City.
It does have some inner city problems like nearly every city of any size but overall is a great place to live, work, and play.
