Hannibal is a perfect family destinationWe came to Hannibal in June 2007. The lady at the Travel Bureau said that actually June is the best time to visit, as the summer crowds haven't come, plus the weather is a bit cooler. It was a great time to visit. No waiting in lines, plenty of hotel rooms to choose from.

OH how I love Mark Twain by GaryAll Missourians should visit historic Hannibal at least once. If you have adored any book ,or short story by Twain, it's worth the trip from all over the United States, or World to see this historic fun city.
The Boyhood home,and museum is fantastic.
The surrounding buildings are slated to be restored.

Oh Hannibal, how we love you so!The town of Hannibal is the backdrop for the Mark Twain stories of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. You will see all of the places that inspired Mark Twain in his stories. The white fence that Tom had to paint, Injun Joe's Cave and of course the mighty Mississippi River!

I LOVE HANNIBAL, MO!I love historic downtown Hannibal, MO. It is a great place to go and enjoy the cool sites and fun shops. Not to mention that the river is gorgeous!
The rest of Hannibal is great too. Although, shopping is limited, but it's still a fun place to shop and eat!

Hannibal and Mark TwainWe just moved to Colorado and will miss Missouri. We had to visit Hannibal twice before we moved. This was a perfect place to get away from the noisy city and relax. We visited the just opened Twain Museum which is very nice and is GREAT for kids too. It was closed when we visited the first time. English Majors Will Love it!If you are a fan of Mark Twain or the Mississippi River, you should definitely make it a point to stop in Hannibal, MO when you have time. This tiny river town still feels like you could dissappear into a Tom Sawyer daydream. While in Hannibal, we went to several museums, including the boyhood home of Mark Twain, and several others.
