and it is great for families and the place is actually neat and there is never any trouble there it is a quiet city.

Vicksburg may have that small town charm but unfornutely it doesn't have much of anything. For one thing the Pemberton Cinema 4,the only cinema in towm was shut down. Worst there hardly any high end businesses like it is over in Madison,Ridgeland. And there isn't much for one to do here. But this port Home of the Civil War is also the home ...

I like everything in this little town. I have taken all of the tours & seen most of teh sites. The people are always polite. The history is rich with both native american & civil war. It's a pleasant place for a family trip. I visit Vicksburg as often as I can.

The battlefield was great but it needed to have the grass cut. The battlefield Inn was great and we will be back. The bad part is the city itself. The people there need to take pride in their city and make it beautiful. It looks worse than Harlem. The Vicksburg getto would be un-visitable if it were not for the battlefield. These folks are still living in the 50's and while they are trying, they need to step it up.

First off, my wife and I will come back because we had a nice time. However, there were quite a few drawbacks and improvements are needed to make the city more tourists friendly.

It's beautiful countryside. Not much to do except go to casino and sightsee some of the quaint shops. Some of the people were very friendly while some others still hold on to prejudice. It's still a divided city with too much prejudice. May pass through on my way to another state.
