Visiting this town is like going back in time about 150 years...In a good Way ! The amount & condition of the antebellum homes is probably the best in the country...We stayed in a B & B (Devereaux shields), it was nice and comfortable....We toured 3 of the homes on our own...Longwood, Rosalie, & Stanton Hall (All 3 a must see)....Also ...

Natchez is great with all of the historic homes and the Mississippi river. Go to the bluffs of the river at sunset to see the sun set over Louisiana. Natchez sits on 200 foot bluffs over the river and Loisiana. Also take a carriage tour. The carriages run day and night. We liked the night trip because the guide could take his time and it was a lot ...

Natchez is a great place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/08
Take the carriage tour through Natchez. It is a great tour and you get to here all of the local stories and here history of homes that are not on tour because they are privately owned. We rode in the evening when it was cooler. We will definetly ride them again!
Very friendly, lots to do, good places to eat. Enjoyed the little theater, the padgent was beautiful, children amazing. If you are looking for a town with history, nice people, take a trip here.

Great little getaway!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/07
This is one of our favorite places to go. My husband and I love to getaway to Natchez for a weekend. We are 5 hours away and it is totaly worth going, we've been going over 13 years now. Staying in those beautiful homes are such a treat. You'll love it!!!
If you're into history, especially American history, this is an awesome place to go for a weekend or even a whole week. Besides the Antebellum Homes, which are fantastic, the downtown area is pretty cool too. You can walk down the street and see beautiful churches, eat in local restaurants and just soak up the atmosphere. If you go there, ...

IN LOVE WITH NATCHEZ
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/06
I just recently returned from my seventh visit to Natchez. My first trip was in 1995 with my children. Since then I have been back with other family members and with friends, also. It doesn't matter when or with whom, Natchez holds the ghosts and spirits of the old south. The bed and breakfasts, the antebellum homes, the carriage ride, the ...

5 star all the way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/06
The menu is staight foward and extremely tasty. The setting is world famous come the balloon race festival. You walk in, grab a drink and a bite to eat, and head straight to the back porch. Relaxation in a town of its own. Management is run smoothly with David Gammill as the GM now a days. 5 star all the way.
We, my wife and I are traveling around in the States en came here in Natchez for relaxing and enjoy. We stayed in the Antebellum Music Room, that was really a wonderful experience. The owner is not only a very friendly host but he is a fabulous musician as well.
The house is a B&B. Restoration undertaken in 1999 won the Historic Natchez Foundation's 2003 Restoration Award.
