The old Molly Mahoney,s died in Katrina. The food was terrible. The staff rude namely Peppy and Phew( real names}. Our family will never return. Casinos will be the place to eat.
We stayed at the IP Casino Resort for 5 days. We were given an upgrade and the suite was beautiful. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The buffet was great. We didn't have a lot of luck in the casino, but we are not real gamblers. When in Biloxi we will be going back to the IP, for the money it was an excellent deal.
The beaches, the back bay, the casinos! Great restaurants, the coliseum...tons to do. People very friendly, prices very low. You can eat here for 2 for $10-15. Love Biloxi, Mississippi! Great city!

Biloxi is my hometown, we should be in the spotlight. We are coming back bigger and better. Katrina may have ravaged us but our spirits and hometown pride will pull us through this. I get people all the time that want to come down and visit, this is not going to stop tourist from coming to our town. They are going to want to come and see the bigger and better Biloxi.

Visit us for friendliest and hospitable people!

We may have been ravaged by Katrina but those of us who are natives are still here fighting and surviving with our heads up and taking care of ourselves and each other. There aren't alot of historical places or attractions left, but we still welcome out-of-towners. We all appreciate and treasure the quality of people who come here to help out ...

Are you nuts?

Biloxi was a nice place, never really a "Destination Spotlight" though. And since Katrina, forget about it. I live there for about 2 years, enjoyed it, but would never go there for vacation, pre or post-Katrina.

Katrina in Biloxi
By airnauru, 10/27/05
Well, throw out all your tour books and guides re. the Gulf Coast, as things were badly damaged, if not destroyed, in Biloxi and surrounding areas.
Still, go visit! Go spend your tourist dollars there!! (The people need it.) The reconstruction will take a long time, but it's fascinating to watch it come together, to talk with persons who ...

Yahoo has flipped
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
You folks at Yahoo have flipped. Biloxi has nothing left after Katrina. It didn't have much to begin with. The only thing going for it is that people are nice and Southerns are accommidating. The beach has always been nasty and people who live there go to Florida to go to the beach. This should not be highlighted as a destination if you want to keep your vacation cred. Really poor choice.

Biloxi rocks.
By Crystal, 10/25/05
I just loved Biloxi. They have great weather and tons of stuff to do. The people are very positive. The beaches are beautiful. This is a great spot for a family trip.
Biloxi does NOT exist for tourists at the current time. Hurricane Katrina severly damaged it. Seeing Yahoo Travel spotlight Biloxi as a place to go shakes my confidence in the folks at Yahoo. Smoking a little too much wacky weed. If you care to visit after reading this, please bring much needed aid and supplies. Water is still in demand, generators, gasoline etc. They will be much appreciated.
