One of the most beautiful towns you will ever see. Fresh flowers line the streets. Everyone is friendly. You will be greeted with a, "Hello," everywhere you go. Not much of a night life, but there is a lot to see and do during the day.

Red Wing is overated. The reality is its an old town, with poor air quality thanks to the ADM plant, a ghetto that you would'nt expect to find and a lifestyle that well, unless you own the RW Shoe company portends to be, less than average for most. There are no good places to eat or really enjoy the town without some negative impacts...price, ...

We stayed at the Best Western Quiet House & Suites; it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty rooms, crabby and unhelpful staff. I would get my money back if they would let me, but the manager was so rude when I tried to explain how we wanted to check out, right after we checked in. He charged us for the room anyways. Never, never stay there again.

I have now lived in Red Wing for 3 years. It does have some beauty but not as much as some believe. Just take a drive on Hwy 61 through town. I love Red Wing. It is a wonderful place to be. Everyone is so friendly. There are also good places to eat. Red Wing has beautiful senery. Its definently a place to stop.

I had the opportunity to live in Red Wing for two years. From the day I rolled into town I found the people were warm and helpful. As time went on, it got better and better. I’ve not found a friendlier and more caring group of people as the ones that live in Red Wing MN.

We have a group of us that eat out every month, 8-10 of us. We tried the staghead for the 1st time last week-end. It was very busy with a 20 mn. wait. But it was well worth the time. We had one of our best dining experience. We had a wonderful dinner from start to finish. Everyone of us loved the place. Food - Service- was excellent. We'll be back.

At the top of Barn Bluff there is a great view of Red Wing and the Mississippi River Valley. However, the hik up to the top is unclearly marked as to whih trails are advanced versus intermediate and beginner. Some of the north trails can get quite risky.
