The pace is different. Everyone is friendly, even the people visiting, just because you can be friendly there. I've gone there so often, that when I can't take it anymore, I can just think of Mackinaw and instantly feel better. It's my place to go for sanity.

Extremely rude front desk staff. They are not interested in keeping the customer happy and satisfied. I've been going to Mackinaw every year since my birth and now I'm bringing my family there every year to keep the tradition alive. I love everything about the place

I loved it I had a cottage up there for 10 years. The kids loved it and so did family and friends. My sisters also camped up there. The 4th of July is the coolest. You can see fireworks from 3 different places at one time. If you want to go there durring this time I would make reservations and get a hotel in town, on the lake.
