  • Fun for almost everyone!!

When visiting West Michigan besure to make a stop in Holland. Attractions include: great restaurants, inexpensive downtown shopping, a skate(board) park and a skating rink, family fun at Craigs Cruisers and the Aquatic Center, and historical attractions including Holland's Museum, Dutch Village, and Wingmill Island. In the winter thrill seekers ...

  • Cant wait to go back!!
    By whiskygirl, 10/20/05
My dislikes about holland is the busy traffic and the michigan turn arounds that can be a pain. When you are there trying to find your way around town it gets real busy on the weekends. My likes are the people are very friendly and helpful if you need directions. It is a great place to do lots of things. They have tulip time.
Beautifull beaches and lots of other things to see and do.

  • Nice city in BIble belt
    By Kenneth, 05/27/05
I have lived here for 7 years. It is an ok city, but don't expect it to be a suburb of Chicago cuz this city has no energy.

IN may it is tulip time which is an overblown 3 day dutch holiday which shuts down 8th street downtown.

THis city is very judgemental and conserative and it is the heart of the bible belt in Michigan, but it does have liberal elements.

The city has 1 mall and the main employer is Heinz and meijjers.

  • Home away from home

I visited Holland during the month of May. The atmosphere is divine! The town is very historical. The weather is beautiful. A bit chilly in the mornings and evening but during the day, just georgous. While there, I was able to enjoy the Dutch Tulip festival. There were dancers dressed in traditional dutch clothing whom entertained us with their ...
