The new owners are GREAT people! The entire staff is very friendly, the food is EXCELLENT and we will definately be back the next time we're in Grand Marais snowmobiling. Anyone that goes thru Grand marais needs to stop in and say Hi!
My family was one of the founding families of this town. They immigrated to Grand Marais/Seney in the late 1800's when it was a logging community.
My great-great grandfather was the Sheriff of Seney and after that was the very first deputy director of the Michigan DNR, in the early 20th century.

Small town, nice people, good brewery, and breathtaking location. I grew up here and will return for as long as I live. I have been out in the world for years having traveled the US, Europe, south/central America. I have yet to find greater beauty than that of Surperior shore woodland. Summer, fall, and winter are the best of the four seasons. Hunting and fishing are great, and a walk in the woods is seconds away no matter where you are.

Grand Marais, MI ; For the day or the season

We seem to keep gravitating back to Grand Marais. We are rock hounds and collecting along the shore is excellent. They also have a Micro brewery/Restaurant that has both great food and is reasonably priced. There are gift shops and accomodations a plenty. They have other necessities such as a Gas station, Post office, Newspaper, and Grocery store. ...
