South Deerfield is home to the original Yankee Candle Co. factory and store. Yankee makes the best candles I've ever owned at decent prices. There are affordable hotels in South Deerfield as well as some great places to eat. It is a small, safe community located in a beautiful, country setting. Visit this town if you need some time away from a hectic, stressful life but don't want to be in the middle of nowhere.
