Everything was in the town and easy to get to - restaraunts, shops, halloween tours and trolleys. Then you have all the nautical stuff as salem is right on the ocean. Historical town - great place to take children during halloween
Salem during Holloween was a great place to visit. The Witch Museum is both educational and exciting. There are shops dedicated to awesome witch souvenirs and other interesting items. Tours around old buildings and ghost stories excite the hearts of anyone no matter what age. And a reenactment of the Bridget Bishop trial is sure to make you feel ...
The tour guide was friendly and well informed. This was the only tour I felt I got my money's worth. All the employees that I met were very friendly and willing to answer any questions I might have had. Do not think that you will learn about the witch trials at this house, the tour guide will tell you about the family that lived in the house and some facts about living in that time period.
Salem was amazing!!We stayed there for 4 nights & 5 days!!I didnt want to leave. What I enjoyed the most about our trip was shoping in all of the shops & hearing the history of the town. The Salen Witch Museum was a huge let down. Most places were not open when we went.We went in Feb. The next time we go it will be later on in the year.Overall Salem was amazing!!Cant wait to go back!

I have been coming to Salem every year for the last 14 yrs during Haunted Happenings. I usually come between oct 11-15, I love the Biz Baz, the fudge guy, The House of Seven Gables and the all around charm of Salem.. Sometimes to get away from the crowds, I would take a walk down one of the side streets and just get lost in the beauty of all those ...
My family and I went to Salem the weekend before halloween. We had a wonderful time andwill definately go back. due to the year round Halloween atmosphere we were prepared for the crowds. it was very croweded but the city did an excellent job keeping it controlled and organized. If crowds are a problem for you then I suggest not going to salem the ...
The town is beautiful. Historic and mysterious. Plenty to do and see. Quaint little shops, historic buildings, museums, ghost tours at night and places to eat.

salem is a great weekend trip. we just went this weekend. it was really crowded because of haunted happenings, but we still had a great time. it does get expensive because you have to pay admission to all of the museams, but almost all of them are worth the money. cry innocent, the witch history museam, and the pirate museam were some of my ...

Don't waste your time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/07
Salem is one giant tourist trap. It's like walking through an enormous strip mall. There are so many other things to do around Boston that will not cost you as much money, and you'll have more fun. I hope that I never go to Salem, MA. again. Ever.
If you do decide to waste your time and money in this city, the only thing that I ...
