A little piece of heaven. The view of the ocean and the view of the salt marsh in front of the plantation are wonderful. There are so many places to explore and so many great photo opportunities. Don't forget your camera. Friendly staff, clean rooms and breakfast in the morning, all A+. I can not wait to go back again.

Worst Vacation Experience

2nd time visiting Plymouth,Mass. City has now installed parking meters this year all along the waterfront and all side streets leading to the waterfront that charges $1.00/hr for parking. All the restaurants are along the waterfront. There are meter people all along the waterfront making out tickets for overparking. Spoke with one of ...
The Octagon, Big Island, the reservoir, The Full Sail, Sean O'tools, Riptides, so manny memories of the parting I have done since I was a child. Beautifull times.

nice day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/06
It was a nice day, the people were friendly. The weather was rainy, but warm. Plymouth rock is not what I thought it would be, I thought it would be much bigger. But it was still very cool to see. If you enjoy the histroy of this country it is worth the trip.
It was a historical venture. Nothing to do without money. But beautiful. Parking is a commodity but we lucked out. Started to rain at 5:30 pm. Still hoping to see fireworks.

Don't waste your time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/06
Hey I from the south and spent sometime in the area and believe you me they are some of the rudes people I have ever meet not to mention self righteous take it from me its not worth your time.Oh and the hotels where horrible.I actually felt like I was going back in time 30 years and as for plymouth rock it is not even woth seeing my god its a little rock that kids have spray painted a dozen times.
Plymouth is a bit of a tourist trap. Actually, it is a tourist trap. You know it is because it's dead during the colder, wintry days. You won't see Plymouth residents loitering around all of the waterfront's overpriced gift shops, souvenir gift shops or so-called wineries. (Really just counters where shop owners serve not-so-fresh fruit ...

Awesome experience, can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/06
We love the Pilgrim Sands the staff is excellent and the motel is perfect, right on the beach, We can't wait to go back. We love going to Plymouth during the winter or early spring when it is not so crowded. You can still enjoy the beach and what the town has to offer without the crowds.
I wasn't really enjoying myself until I got to the historic home of one Dennis Bailey. After tea and scrumpets we watched MacGyver. Let me tell you, Dennis Bailey and MacGyver make any place feel like home.
The Mayflower was pitifully small, but shows what our forefathers went through to get here! The original settlement was great, even the kids were interested. It was amazing how those people lived...we could all use some lessons in simplicity!
Went on a whale sightseeing boat as well-kids LOVED it! Only thing we didn't like were the round-abouts...they're everywhere!
