My husband and I visited the New England States on our honeymoon, and our most favorite spot was Kennebunkport, ME. The town was adorable, the beach was beautiful, and the people were very nice. We both would like to make a return trip soon.

Where to stay

Loved it all, topped off by the fact that I stayed at Bufflehead Cove, a great B&B which made me feel at home, even though my girlfriend and I were only college students (not the typical B&B demographic) at the time. Love the town, the food, and the lobster!

What a beautiful place!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Kennebunkport! We stayed at the "1802" House, a lovely B&B. Innkeepers Marc and Sue were so nice and friendly.
The food was wonderful and the scenery was breathtaking! Just as I'd imagined Maine to be. We visited in winter and now we can't wait to return for a summer trip!
One of my favorite places to go. Kennebunk Beach is small but quaint. The people are friendly and the whether is lovely. I held back the 5th star due to the G.W. stuff. But everything else was fantastic.
We were early for the fall foliage this year, but the scenery, food and people made it one of the best trips of a lifetime. We stayed in Kennebunk in a charming B&B, the Waldo Emerson Inn. The Inkeepers, the Daamens, were delightful, as well as the other guests.
A real highlight was visiting with Dorothy Bartley of her namesake restaurant. ...

The nicest coastal town in Maine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/05
I love Kennebunkport! The people are friendly and the scenery is so pretty - I especially love the Cape Porpoise area - it is a quaint NE fishing village and the Cape Porpoise Lobster Pound offers great lobster rolls and fried seafood - you can sit right on the dock and watch the boats go by. I have stayed at the Kennebunkport Inn which is a bit ...

I love staying in Kennebunkport. It gets you close to the water, but away from the trafic. This is a park your car and walk kind of place to stay. The shopping and food are beyond words, and their beaches are by far the best in Maine.

Parking was a little tough, but the town is very nice. Friendly staff, great food, and clean. Christmas prelude reminds me of an old Rockwell painting.
