It is a good safe place to raise children. It doesn't have much of a night life, but the people are are nice, and caring. You get to see the planes fly by from the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, and with Bowdin College not far off from the base. During summer you can go swimming at the ocean or rafting down the river.
