I was raised in Leesville however I only go back because my folks still live there. It is a small town that is still looks like and moves at a 70's pace. That's the way they like it. Don't Speed, cops have nothing better to do. very depressing town if you come from a big city. Military town, walmart is consider the mall. Has one old movie theater with uncomfortable seats. You might have to be from here to be able to like it here

I lived in Leesville for 3 1/2 (military). It took some getting use to but when you did the people here are great. I would live there again in a drop of a hat.

We lived there for four years while my husband was stationed there and the people hate soldiers and travelers and there is a wal-mart and that's it. There are a plethra of strip clubs and tattoo shops, though. Ft. Polk is ok, but you need a military id to enjoy any of it.
