Yes read all the polite and pretty reviews and then go to Scottsville. It is a dirt, dank, minute community. Industries avoid coming to the area due to the lack of ANYTHING! It is on the decline and fast! What money there is here, is brought in mainly by working somewhere else, or by people who visit! (just look at the other reviews) they don't want to stay, they just visit....!

I love Scottsville. We visit all the time. We like others have family there too, but that's not what SCottsville is all about. The folks are friendly and you got to try Ms. Tillie's for lunch.
The people in Scottsville have always been friendly. Maybe because 1/2 of my family is there or came from there. The countryside is beautiful and everyone makes you feel welcome no matter where your at. So, Hello to all my family there from here in Indiana.
I live in scottsville, and this is the most friendly town! we have lots of things to do, and our school system is really great!!! i was really offended when i read the review titled" You've Got to be Kidding!" they have nop respect for us!!! And we are not poor! i swear! We are a very clean, respectful, and fun and friendly town! so ignore that stupid review and come down and see us! you're welcome all year round!

You've got to be kidding?!

I used to go to Scottsville as a child to visit relations. I was bored then, and continue to be bored. Let's tell the truth, Scottsville is a village that is on the decline on a daily basis. Economically, it is bankrupt. Clearly on the side of dirty, grimmy, hole in the wall U.S.A.. So if you're really looking for a new resident, a vacation spot or anything even remotely entertaining, you have the WRONG place!
Scottsville is a wonderful small town with a lot of history. It home to many American start-up companies that began about 100-years ago so it is a good place for business people or business majors to study. The people of Scottsville are very friendly and the Jacksonian Days celebration is quite a fun time in deed. My favorite part of the visit ...
