Mammoth Caves National Park is a treasure for all the senses , Guided cave tours with different degrees of difficulty for almost all ages it really is alot of fun and there are many beautiful formations to see ,some of the cave tours have around 500 steps or more combined but not all at once and mostly going downward so if you're not fit ...
My family has gone to Mammoth Cave twice - once when my brother and I were very small, and again just last summer, this time with our younger cousins who are the same age we were for our first visit. We LOVED the caves, it's so calming and peaceful in them, the hotels are very nice, even the inexpensive ones. One of the biggest attractions of ...

The new entrance tour is my favorite. The frozen niagara is beautiful. It looks just like a huge waterfall turned to stone. Some day I plan to take the wild cave tour when I get the nerve.

This is a one trick pony. I agree with the other post - stay at Mammoth Caves and take multiple tours there, this is just another tourist trap.

Mammoth Cave was awesome. The National Park service knows how to give you and your family the best experience possible. My 8 and 9 years old sons loved it. The staff is knowledgeable (one of our tour guides was fourth generation and he was outstanding)and the facilities are excellent with a focus on safety for all on the trip. The area is ...
This place was beautiful. Park was clean and staff was all knowledgable about caves. No questions left unanswered. There are lots of places nearby to stop too. Cool tourist trap called Big Mike's

My 5 year old was more than a little hesitant when she figured out how dark the tour was going to be, but after we convinced her that "Dora the Explorer" would do this (and along with the help of our awesome guide)she warmed up ...

Like caving? You'll love it here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/06
We are into caving. Have visited Mammoth Cave twice and have truly enjoyed it both trips. Went to Carlsbad Caverns (NM) in 2004 and got to enjoy compairing the two. If you like caving, you'll love it here! Stay on property if possible. The dual cabins are rustic but part of the unique adventure.
Kentucy's terrain is always associated with blue grass, speedy horses and green pastures, all above ground;tho its whats below ground that fascinated us on one trip to Mammoth cave. At Mammoth we explored the underground cave system that runs many miles, however we stayed to the viewing path and followed the tour guides as each gave an excellent ...
