I am from Boston and I was traveling across the U.S. on my vacation and I decided to stop in Manhattan. I was just planning on staying for a couple hours but I ended up staying the night. Aggieville was great with a lot of neat little shops and bars. If you love purple this is the place for you. I felt very safe there and the people are wonderful. ...

From a resident...its a VERY nice place to live!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/07
As a lifetime Manhattan resident, Manhattan has been my home forever. I have lived in other places for short peroids of time, but Manhattan is always where i want to go back to. If there are two things in Manhattan that will never fun out, it would be food and the color purple. K-State has a major presence, but the proximity to Ft. Riley makes it ...

Small town Kansas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/06
Don't believe the locals, they're always very loyal to their school and town. The 'entertainment' section of town, Aggieville, is worth checking out, although if you're not into 4 square blocks of bars and restaurants with bars you'll be disappointed. Otherwise there's nothing unique about the town. You can take a ...

Love it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
Its a smallish sized town and you can get anywhere you need to be in 10 minutes or less. The best time to visit is fall or spring because its not real hot but if you dont want many people to be there go in the summer because it is a college town. The college is a great school.
really not a bad town the only thing is that it is deffinatly a collage town and if you dont like purple you better stay at home.

hanging out at Kansas State University is fun. The ball games there are even more fun. I like this town because it is laid back and people are nice and friendly.

I want to live there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
Manhattan is a little city that is about to explode in the next ten years with businesses and new people, according to my family that lives there. I enjoy visiting them every time. The people are all extremely friendly and it is a very safe area to live, especially compared to where I live now. I plan on living in Manhattan in the near ...
Good place to be. I guess it could be best described as a drunken jockocracy, which is how any college town should be. Aggieville is top notch. I have spent more money in Aggievile than anywhere else, including my tuition to the university. One must remember, it used to be cheap to get public post secondary education in Kansas until about 2 ...
