    The town is small and there is not a lot to do but I have only lived here for 6 months and I have found the people to be quite nice, and if you are looking for a good church atmosphere 2nd Baptist Church is a great environment and they are warm and inviting

  • Ugly, boring city to visit

    Ottumwa has nothing. Nothing to attract anyone. It does offer some limited shopping, but that is it. The city looks like a bombed out world war 2 city. Crime is bad, especially at night. I recommend you don't walk after dark. In my opinion, it is best to drive through Ottumwa and go to Des Moines.
