I lived in Poky for 14 years and it is a great place!!! In the summer there is hiking, camping, motorbiking. All within a 20 min drive. The winter brings the local ski hill (15 min away). The people are EXTREMELY friendly and kind. Virtually NO crime and has fantastic schools (Go Century High!!). Smaller town, but large enough to have all the commodities of a city. I reccomend it to anyone who loves the outdoors.

I grew up just 50 miles up the road and left when I was drafted. I Retired from the Military and lived in Virginia for 16 years before coming back to this part of the country.

I chose Pocatello because of:
1. its central location to other destinations such as Jackpot, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, and Boise, ID
3. Its friendliness and spirtitual atmosphere.
4. Its lower levels of serious crimes.
5. I just like it here..Instinctivly

I lived there for 4 years. It is NOT a typical college town, the air is dirty, the people are over the top "clickish" and there is nothing to do unless you are either mormon or to the extreme, an alcholic. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Pocatello is one the best citys in Idaho. Its a great place for children to be because of the great schools, and great area. There's pretty much no crime in the city. Most beautiful area from miles around expecially during the spring and summer. You go there your not going to regret it !!!

this place is so different that what you mite think the suraounding area has lava rock everywhere and what we could tell this town is growing the shops are nice. the prices are fair.

pocatello is the kind of place you would want to move to if you ever get tired of your own town.
