I lived in Idaho Falls in 1982 and want to go back. Please don't let the Californians take over like they have in Albuquerque and ruin the housing market. They cause the prices to skyrocket and will ruin the economy in the area. They won't care either.

Nothing to do except eat, see a movie or visit
Walmart . Great for outdoor activities in the winter if you like outdoor activities.


For the old folks and rasing your families this place may be a great place to live. For visitors a big no.

If you are a couch potato or LDS then Idaho falls is a great place to live. Houses are cheap but like anywere else you still need a decent paying job to be able to buy your own home. If you are looking for a nice apartment to live in, these average about $500 upwards
not ideal for low income families.

Great place. I go there at least every other month or so. Not a huge city but has everything you need. Only an hour and a half to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks as well as many state parks and national forest areas. World class fishing very close by. Excellent sking only an hour and a half away as well at Jackson Hole or Grand Targhee ski resorts.

I love I.F. because it has so much to do and so many places to go yet it is still really safe. The roads are pretty good and it isn't too hard to find your way around. Overall I give it two thumbs way way up!!!

Moved here from the Denver metro area last year. Housing prices to die for! Got twice as much house for cash out of the CO house with money left over. Most people heat with ELECTRIC. It's cheap. Total bill with heat, lights and everything was less than my electric bill in CO. I'm sold.
