tiny town near important bhuddist coop, black sand beaches with sunning turtles. nice hawaiian donut shop across the street from our rented and not perfectly clean plantation manager's house. i liked it and my fiance did not. for the reasons above.

not too far to amazing non-touristy sites and lava running into the sea. need car to get there and to beach.
