    The average Tourist will say this place is boring and there's nothing to do; I would disagree completely. Makawao Exudes a vivacious, live, and vivid atmosphere; if you watch closely you could see the trees dancing. Makawao is magical because of its rural location and artsy presentation.   • Not an all day trip.

    Its a beautiful city. If you have a really reliable rental you can make it up the volcano to little Makawao but don't blink, you'll miss it. It's great for an hour of walking around or if you are looking for some good sushi or alternative healthcare. Otherwise, it's just a little town of people, walking around, doing their own thing. The sights are beautiful all the way up the volcano though.
